5 of 5 It works! May 24, 2019

In my experience, MIDI adapters that claim to connect to iPads/iPods are NOT always useful. I took this one out of the box, plugged it into my keyboard, plugged it into my iPads lightning connector and was instantly talking both ways. Just remember that the MIDI cable on this gizmo that is labeled IN is in to the iPod so it goes to the OUT of the keyboard. As usual with orders from The Midi Store this arrived pretty much at the same time I ordered it. These guys are FAST!

I suppose the time is past for griping about iOS 9 not supporting most other MIDI cables, but this cable isn't quite so high quality as the Yamaha UX16. I don't think there will be any function issues, but it feels more "made in China". A nice thing is that you do not have to have the apple camera cable anymore, as this cable directly hooks up to your iPad.
Also, I would recommend buying a couple of nice reusable rubber twist ties, as there is no way you will get this cable back into its box.
