Kenton MIDI USB Host MkII

USB Host to MIDI converter for 'Class Compliant' USB MIDI Devices
Your USB device is plugged into the USB MIDI Host mkII instead of into a computer. It provides MIDI In & Out sockets for USB MIDI keyboards and controllers which have only a USB B type socket. For example, used with a USB-Solo, it allows the USB-Solo to be used in a standard MIDI setup, just like a Pro-Solo. It has a USB Host port (USB A type socket), a MIDI In and a MIDI Out (both 5 pin DIN).

MIDI data received at the MIDI In socket will be sent to the USB device. MIDI data received from the USB device will be sent to the MIDI Out socket.

The attached USB MIDI device MUST be 'Class Compliant'.
The MIDI USB HOST is powered by a regulated 5V mains adapter (supplied), and can supply up to 1 Amp of buss power to the attached USB device. This product is supplied with a multi-region power supply suitable for use in most countries.

Attractively finished in brushed aluminum with black screen print
Dimensions: 110mm x 55mm x 32mm

5 of 5 I Came For a Sword August 3, 2020

'Round my neck-o'-the-woods "Midi-store" is a folk term for medieval arms dealers.  The blacksmiths at all of my local haunts had quarantined and I just didn't know where I was going to buy swords. What's worse was I've put on too much weight and my armor won't fit either...what if I were attacked by someone with a sword surplus?
Give up? Bust that sum-beach with some sweet techno jams and learn to love swords TOGETHER like well adjusted adults. I bought a midi-host and it fits on my sword like a charm, very handsome I might add.  My only concern is that I'm down to my last sword and with the midi host attached it's too pretty; I'm afraid to use it.
Please hire a new blacksmith who makes uglier midi hosts and MORE SWORDS. Your customer service has been perfect so far. With a proper blacksmith on staff you're edging on world class caliber speciosity. Thanks.

I thought I would have to change the settings on my keyboard to make it work but I actually didn't have to do anything plug it into the keyboard through the USB and plug it into my vocal machine and it works perfectly

4 of 5 Respectable USB MIDI Host March 11, 2019

There are not that many USB MIDI host options. This one works just fine, but is limited on ports (single USB port and single set of MIDI in/out DINs). Also wireless MIDI interfaces seem to work  well with this unit. Lack of ports in relation to price is the only reason I give it 4 stars.

4 of 5 Essential for USB only keyboards! January 27, 2019

Just want to say that I appreciate the ability now to be able use my Yamaha P115 with Bass pedals. I'm an organist and sometimes I like to use the pedals to address the bass sounds in the instrument when accompanying someone. I feel that the cost is a bit high for what this box does but maybe that's just me since I don't use it that much and those kind of gigs aren't my bread and butter.  I would have liked to see a more comprehensive manual with it. However it's the only game in town and works very well, midi channel changes and recognizes my pedal's program change messages. All in all, essential piece of equipment for those like me who don't have 5 pin midi connections on their keyboard and have USB midi only. The shipping from MIDI store was fairly quick and was pleased with the careful packing and such.  All in all a good experience.
