5 of 5 BomeBox Quarantine April 6, 2020
Reviewer: Matt Laffey from Chicago, IL United States
I almost ordered the mighty BomeBox direct from Germany a few months ago but never got around to it. Then the moment the world went into lockdown, I was 100% sure I would need the BomeBox to survive. Normally I like to buy direct if possible but international shipping seemed like a not great idea. Luckily the midi-store.com was listed as the US dealer. Total cost was equivalent to buying direct. Within a few days - in the middle of a quarantine - I got my BomeBox. Respect to The Midi Store for making this happen.

5 of 5 A key component in my ultra-lightweight drum setup March 15, 2020
Reviewer: Ryan Salomon
I recently set up the BomeBox, and I'm very happy with it!
Setup was very well documented and very intuitive.
I connected the device to my home network;
powered it on;
installed Bome Network on my laptop to find the device;
logged in;
imported my MIDI Translator Pro project file;
and set up the port mappings (the only step that requires planning).
I then made the remaining physical connections, and it worked like a charm.

It lacks is the ability to include the MIDI Translator Pro editor in the web interface itself, albeit without elements that wouldn't apply, such as Virtual Ins and Virtual Outs.

It performs perfectly, with no detectable latency of its own.

It has other abilities, such as creating a network of MIDI devices over the actual network, or daisy-chaining BomeBoxes if needed.

In any case, if you have a use for this and/or for MIDI Translator Pro, I definitely recommend both products.

Great product.  The swiss army knife of MIDI.  If you have a need the BomeBox can do it...
