Does your vocalist sound like she's had some nasal cavity work done
recently? Does your stage piano sound like it's being played from the
bottom of a swamp? Does your guitar mic shriek and scream more than. .
.well, your guitar? Everyone knows that a graphic equalizer's main
function is to shape sound without adding unwanted distortion or noise.
But it's also a sad fact that sometimes this really important piece of
equipment, designed to make you sound better, can actually become a big
headache of its own. These three EQs from Yamaha do what EQs are
supposed to do - clean up your sound and stay out of your way. The
GQ1031C is a mono EQ with 31 equalization bands at 1/3 octave intervals
from 20 Hz to 20 kHz. It does a great job of removing all the extra
little sonic litter that can creep into your sound during live
performance. Of course, the GQ1031 comes with the EQ staple features of
high-pass filter, balanced I/O, Peak indicators, and Bypass button. For
a great graphic EQ, they don't get much better than the GQ2015A, a
stereo EQ that's simple, easy-to-use, and packed with power. Since it's
stereo, you can use it to control your entire mix or separately treat
two individual sources. Imagine, 2-channel stereo versatility, all in a
slim 1U-size. The GQ2015A offers equalization bands per channel at 2/3
octave intervals from 25 Hz to 16kHz. All the EQ essentials are there,
including high-pass filter, balanced I/O, and bypass switch.
The Q2031B
is a dual channel, 4-band graphic equalizer that gives you a smooth,
clean sound without any hassles. Providing quiet operation with less
than .05% total harmonic distortion and noise levels better than -96dB,
you can be sure your signal is pure. The Q2031 offers 31 EQ bands per
channel t 1/3 octave intervals from 20 Hz to 20Khz, high-pass filter,
balanced I/O, sensitive peak indicators, and bypass button.
