TASCAM started with a "bodyless" electric violin and created samples of the violin being bowed, plucked and struck. Then, using GigaPulse convolution technology, they modeled an assortment of violin bodies. Next came GigaPulse convolution reverb and - Voila! A virtual violin library - which works both as a GigaStudio 3 library for current Giga users and as a Windows VSTi/RTAS plug-in library - as real as any violin you've ever heard or imagined.
