Project Sam Symphobia Pack 1,2
Discover the all-updated 2016 Editions of the orchestral library series that forever changed the film scoring game: The Symphobia Series. The Duo Pack bundles Symphobia 1 and 2 for an amazing price.
The library that started it all... immersive ensemble recordings and intense cinematic orchestral effects. With Symphobia you have at your disposal a proven tool of inspiration for scoring films, games and television.
Massive amounts of fresh and inspiring symphonic effects, all-new orchestral articulations and real legato ensembles.
With SYMPHOBIA and SYMPHOBIA 2, you have at your disposal the most inspiring orchestral tool for scoring film, games and television.
SYMPHOBIA is not your traditional orchestral sample library. Instead of focusing on individual instrument multi-samples, SYMPHOBIA offers ensemble multi-samples in various orchestrations and orchestral groups. These playable ensembles cover different sections and groups from the orchestra as well as the entire orchestra playing together. The reason is simple: the real thing sounds so much better.
SYMPHOBIA is famous for its cinematic orchestral effects. Like the ensemble performances, the effects are available in different orchestrations, played by different sections throughout the orchestra.

A staccato note played by violins, violas, horns and trumpets, together, correctly seated at the concert stage, will sound much more cohesive than a mixture of individual sample recordings of these four elements. An other example of the SYMPHOBIA concept is the low strings patch, which has been recorded with celli and basses playing in octaves. This makes SYMPHOBIA the ideal tool for creating big, realistic sounding orchestral arrangements and orchestrations. In addition, a number of individual instrument articulations are available, such as violin section flageolets and horn section marcatos.
The ensembles make up about half of SYMPHOBIA. The other half is all about cinematic effects: performances that are impossible to recreate using individual multi-samples. Like the ensemble performances, the effects are available in different orchestrations, played by different sections throughout the orchestra. You will find violin glissandi, as well as full orchestra rips and stabs. Each effect is available in a number of variations or articulations.
NEW IN SYMPHOBIA 1, 2 (v1.5)
Audio edits for staccato & pizzicato strings
We revisited the original audio of all string ensemble staccato and pizzicato articulations and made them tighter and more consistent. Fast patterns and quantized sequences now sound better than ever. These edits cover the full string ensemble as well as the low strings in octaves. All staccatos and pizzicatos in the Symphobia 1 Multis have also been updated.
New dynamic response for many instruments
By popular request, we revisited the modulation wheel dynamic curves for many of the instruments, in particular the strings. Mod wheel response is now more dynamic, starting at a lower level, then slowly and smoothly cross fading through the various dynamic layers.
Symphobia 2 2016 Edition now offers speed control for selected instruments and articulations. Using Kontakt's Time Machine Pro algorithm, you can now easily adjust the length of clusters, risers and other relevant sounds to match your piece perfectly.
Sustain pedal control
By popular request, Symphobia 1 now has the option to disable the sustain pedal, allowing you to build templates and Multis where certain instruments do while others don't respond to the sustain pedal. This can be very useful when layering different types of instruments, especially in a live setting.
Major loading speed improvements
Thanks to a big overhaul of the scripting engine, Symphobia 1 2016 Edition loads many times faster (initialization time, not sample loading time). If you use a lot of Symphobia 1 instruments in your template, this will be a very welcome improvement.
Learnable CC controls
With version 1.51, released in February 2016, it is now possible to learn and reassign dynamics control and expression volume. Simply right-click the dynamics or expression readout in the interface and link it to any CC number you wish.
Symphobia 2 2016 Edition comes with 2.6 GB* of new content, focusing on ensemble chords:
- Trumpet + horn + trombone performing Maj, Min & Dim chords
- Violin 1 + violin 2 + viola performing Maj, Min & Dim chords
- Flute + oboe + clarinet performing Maj, Min & Dim chords
