Well built item, the rear 8 XLR sockets could be better, say by adding a metal cable holder. I would advise you don't plug'n'out very often or you will non fixated XLR sockets. But many devices has this problem - FirePod, Motu 8Pre, Firestudio and many others under 1000$.

On the preamps, they are neutral, but could be better. I think the preamps and brand (as in not many people know who they are) is the main reason for the low price. As far as the digital converter - as all companies in price range 300$-1000$ it has MX chips, so there is no big difference in it. Preamps sound a little
"live" for my test. But with massive VST and FX attack you can get good sound out of those preamps.

It has some cool features like ADAT, MIDI, SMUX, AES. and two sends and returns. Two channels with pad. Individual phantom powers - no problems with ribbon mics.. all in all I think it is the best around for under $500, they just need some marketing so people know who they are!
