Powerful and versatile 2-channel USB audio interface
At the
heart of POD Studio UX2 is the interface - and it's Line 6's most
powerful and stylish yet. On top of classy VU metering, which is
assignable, the interface features five channels and an array of inputs
and outputs, so you're ready to record all the essential sources. There
are two microphone inputs with dedicated gain controls, plus phantom
power is available for both of the inputs for your condenser
microphones. Two instrument inputs are included for directly plugging in
a guitar or bass, and a headphone output is available for conveniently
monitoring while you're tracking. There are also stereo 1/4" inputs for
your line-level gear and 1/4" and S/PDIF outputs for monitoring.
POD Farm plug-in software with killer models and effects
In
addition to the powerful audio interface, you also get Line 6's
enhanced POD Farm software, which can be used as an AU, RTAS, or VST
plug-in within your favorite DAW. POD Farm software includes killer
models of music history's most sought after pieces of gear - from
amplifiers to stompboxes to studio effects and even vocal preamplifiers!
There are 18 immortal guitar amps, 24 guitar cabinets, five bass amps,
five bass cabinets, 29 stompboxes, and six microphone preamplifiers. You
can set up your signal chain as easily as dragging and dropping and
create everything from classic tones to mind-blowing original sounds.
All of the gear offers up total tweakability - just like the original
gear. The POD Studio UX2 also includes an FX Junkie model pack, which

with latency is like driving with your eyes closed. Line 6's ToneDirect
monitoring allows you to record and monitor a fully processed tone
while virtually eliminating latency and taking all the guesswork out of
recording great-sounding tracks.
What's latency? Latency is
the delay caused by the time it takes your guitar signal to travel all
the way through your hardware interface, through your computer's
processor, through your plug-in software, back through your hardware
interface, and out of your speakers or headphones. This delay is heard
in your monitoring signal and makes recording almost impossible. With a
POD Studio UX2 interface, latency is something you'll never have to
deal with.
