With SoundChest III you can add great sounding
effects to your live performance, broadcast, webcast, PA system or
other application.
SoundChest III plays common MP3 files from a convenient and
low cost Compact Flash (CF) card. Use any computer and your favorite
MP3 compatible software to obtain, record and organize sounds from
whatever source you choose. Thousands of MP3 sound effects are already
available at little or no cost and recording your own sounds is easier
than ever before.
Sounds may be added to the CF card by
plugging it into any computer appropriately equipped with a built-in
adapter, or with an inexpensive external card reader.
Pop
the card back into the SoundChest III, assign sounds to whatever
buttons you like and you're ready to go. Advanced non-destructive
editing features let you control dynamic volume, panning, sound length
and other aspects of the sound. There is memory allocation within the
SoundChest III for a total of 100 Key assignments. These are organized
as 10 Banks of 10 Keys each.
SoundChest ships with a stock library containing dozens
of useful effects such as mechanical sounds, fun sounds, animal sounds,
etc.
Connect SoundChest III to your audio system either via the RCA line level connectors or the TRS balanced 1/4" jacks on the rear.
A 3.5mm jack is provided for optionally attaching one or two external
effect trigger switches. This allows for special circumstances where a
sound must be triggered by an actor on stage, or by a second person in
the sound booth that must be physically remote from the SoundChest.
Finally, there is a small slot that allows the SoundChest III to be
secured to a desk or table via a common Laptop computer security cable.
