Like all Scarlett interfaces, Scarlett Solo is fully compatible with Macintosh® (including Yosemite®) and Windows computers and, with the included Red 2 and Red 3 AAX plugins, it’s a perfect partner for Pro Tools®.
Contains Everything You Need
Includes a Scarlett Solo interface, a CM25 condenser microphone with stand clip, professional quality HP60 headphones, a three metre mic cable and all the software you need to get started.
Start Recording Immediately
Comes with all the software and sounds you need to start recording and mixing music, including Cubase recording software, Focusrite Scarlett plug-in suite, Novation’s Bass Station virtual synthesiser and 1GB of Loopmasters sample content.
Scarlett, Saffire, and Clarett audio interfaces now include 3 Softube plug-ins.
Add space, depth and width to your sound—TSAR-1R is a reverb plug-in with world class sound and extreme ease of use. With a single slider, you can take TSAR-1R from realistic and three-dimensional rooms to dramatic and dreamlike halls.
A tasty echo effect that can go from clean to rude by overdriving its three modeled tube stages. Create anything from realistic room echoes to rockabilly style slapbacks—or take it all the way into dub reggae echo madness.
Add grit and warmth to any sound source with this modeled output distortion unit. Use it to fatten up bass lines, add some harmonics and shimmer to vocals, or simply destroy your drum loop. Simply turn up the knob to add saturation, and use the three-position switch to alter the distortion character.
Customers can download the Softube Time and Tone Pack for free from their download area on focusrite.com; valid with all registered purchases of Focusrite Scarlett, Saffire, and Clarett Interfaces that were made on or after September 1st, 2015.

The Ideal Musician’s Interface
Precision digital conversion means that you capture the most accurate, best-possible-sounding performance. And the mic pre inside the Scarlett Solo’s elegant, rugged and compact aluminium case is a genuine Focusrite microphone preamp with a 30-year heritage, specially designed for our interfaces, which lets you record with the legendary Scarlett sound.
Sleek, light and tough enough to take whenever you go, Scarlett Solo turns your Mac or PC into a portable recording studio. Whenever inspiration strikes, simply plug in any microphone and instrument, and start making the highest quality recordings.
Record with Focusrite’s legendary sound
The better your preamp, the better your microphone will sound, and the better the recording. Focusrite preamps like the one in Scarlett Solo are widely considered the best in the world. +48V phantom power is also built-in, so you can use any microphone you like, including high-quality condenser types.
Plug Straight In
Scarlett Solo lets you get a musical idea down minutes after it’s hit you. Plug a microphone into input 1 and an instrument into input 2 – the two settings suit pickups as well as keyboards. Set the levels simply and quickly: unique halos around the gain knobs will stay green when your level is good and turn red if you’re too loud – you can be confident you’re always recording at the right level.
Carry Scarlett Solo with you – its durable and elegant aluminium unibody enclosure is designed for life on the road, and you can take it anywhere. Simply plug it into your Mac or PC via USB and start recording, without the need for a bulky power supply.
Capture Every Detail
Scarlett Solo is great for demos – but it’s perfect for masters too! Precision converters capture your performance in studio-quality 24-bit resolution digital audio. Use sample rates of up to 96kHz for pristine, clear recordings and an exceptional dynamic range of over 105dB for master-quality sound. There’s no better way of getting the highest quality into your computer.
Power with USB
Simply plug into your Mac or PC via USB and start recording, without the need for a bulky power supply.
Plug Any Instrument Straight In
Plug straight into a high quality DI that minimises the risk of distortion, or switch to line level to instantly connect your mono analogue synth or outboard gear to the rest of your studio.
Immerse Yourself in Sound
Connect your headphones and speakers to immerse yourself in Focusrite-quality sound, using the large volume dial to set the perfect level.
Always Record at the Right Level
Get a clean recording every time by keeping an eye on the halos around the gain knobs. They stay green when your level is good and turn red if you’re too loud.
Everything You Need
Inside the box you’ll find all the software and sounds you need to record and mix music. This includes Ableton Live Lite 9 recording software, 1GB of Loopmasters sample content, the Novation Bass Station virtual instrument and Focusrite’s Scarlett plug-in suite.
Record Better Vocals
The slight delay between your singing and the sound of your voice in your headphones can be very distracting. Simply flick a switch to hear exactly what you’re recording without any of this latency.
