Enter notes the way you want — mouse, MIDI, microphone, or scanner
With
Makemusic Finale 2010, you've got the power to enter in notes the way
that you choose. If you're working from a basic keyboard/mouse setup,
you can easily enter them in by clicking. Finale 2010 also supports
note entry from a MIDI keyboard — or any other MIDI device. Just play
the notes on the keyboard and watch your music appear onscreen. You can
even just set the tempo, play your song, and watch as Finale 2010 puts
it all into notation in real-time. If you're writing brass or woodwind
parts, you can use Finale's exclusive MicNotator features to play notes
right into Finale. You can also import your existing MIDI, MusicXML,
SmartScore, or Finale family notation files. Last, but not least, you
can scan in your existing sheet music or handwritten scores — a big
time-saver.
Includes a host of amazing-sounding classic and modern instrument sounds
A
range of sounds come with Finale 2010, so you can compose your pieces —
then hear them played back by the instruments you intended. To start,
you get more than 350 world-class instrument sounds from the Garritan
Personal Orchestra, spanning piano, choirs, drums, guitar, organ,
handbells, marching percussion, and more. Brand-new to Finale 2010 are
a variety of church organ sounds, electric guitar, more handbells,
steel guitar, and a brush drum kit. On top of all of those sounds, you
also get more than 100 sounds from Tapspace Virtual Drumline, and
additional Row-Loff Marching Percussion Sounds. You can use the
included Garritan Aria Player to take charge of your sounds.
Record supporting audio tracks right into Finale
Give
arrangements authenticity and life with a real vocal or instrumental
track. Record or import a mono or stereo audio file to enhance playback
and open up a world of possibilities. For example, with Finale 2010,
you can record a vocal track to a soprano aria, add trumpet solo to a
jazz chart, import a stereo mix of a rock band and build a horn
arrangement, import audio for transcription/takedown, create learning
files for choir students with accompaniment and sung text, and more.
With Finale 2010, you can even import an audio recording of music, use
the TempoTap feature to line up notation barlines and times, then add
additional orchestration.
Supports VST and AU plug-ins, for unlimited sonic possibilities
The
entire world of VST/AU effects are now at your disposal for the most
powerful sounding Finale ever. From the included Ambiance Reverb
plug-in, to the plug-ins that come with current Macintosh operating
systems, to the untold numbers of free and commercially available

shaping within Finale. You can apply effects to individual instrument
libraries as well as add up to three mastering level effects on your
