WOW, what a home run Fatar has hit wit this Piano. I have to say I was a little concerned about spending $1500 on a piano I never touched and could not find much from a review standpoint.

The midi store had them in stock and also gave me a nice discount (thanks Josh!) and shipped it free. The rep I talked to is a player and had used this quite a bit so I decided to take the risk based on the videos I saw online. First let me say the piano sounds (and others) are AMAZING, really first class, the Fatar touch which lets you customize the for your own playing style works very well and make it seem like it was built just for you!

Built-in effects units help you to refine the sound even more with chorus, phaser, rotary, tremolo and 3 different reverb algorithms assignable to each of the layers and splits.

Now of course the most important part, the feel. I have been playing keyboards since I was little kid (my kids are all grown up now) and this takes me back to the beautiful piano my parents had. It feels every inch the digital piano I was wishing for.

The key surfaces (texture) have an ivory feel to them, rather than a cheap plastic feel like most other digital pianos (including some that are WAY more expensive). The action is solid, the keys don't wiggle, and the overall feel is as close to an acoustic piano as I have encountered in a digital.

Overall I would give Fatar and The Midi Store and A for the product and the service and delivery

Just bought to substitute my old P-80 after a long selection trial including Yamaha, Roland, Kawai, Nord,...
It's a great piano, the closest to a true acoustic pian I have ever heard. Just a an important suggestion: use the Fatar touch to use the piano sounds, it's absolutely necessary.
