Casio packed the new CTK-4000 61-key portable keyboard with great sounds and music-making features, so it's great for beginning players, advanced players, and everyone in between! 570 sounds, 180 rhythms, and 152 songs/lessons keep the Casio CTK-4000 interesting, while a new sampling function makes it more fun than play with than ever. Pick a sound - up to 10 seconds - on your portable audio device, then play the sound as you press piano keys to spice up your playing. Built-in lessons, facilitated by the graphic screen, are great for beginners, and a USB port makes it easy to connect the Casio CTK-4000 to your computer.

Packed with instrument sounds
The Casio CTK-4000 includes an impressive 570 sounds - plus 180 rhythms - to really exercise your creativity. Of the sounds, there's an excellent stereo grand piano sample - plus, all of the built-in tones have been improved using Casio's new AHL technology (Acoustic and Highly-compressed Large-waveform). Casio also increased the polyphony to 48, so you don't have to worry about sounds dropping out when you play extensive passages. There are even fifteen different effects onboard for further shaping your sound - 10 reverbs and 5 choruses. With the increase in polyphony, the excellent sounds and effects, and Casio's Touch Response keys, the CTK-4000 lets you play with incredible expression.

Built-in speakers
The Casio CTK-4000's built-in speakers let you get playing without connecting any bulky extra experience. You can perform and play with friends easily. Or, when it's time for quiet practice, just connect a set of headphones and you'll enjoy great sound that way, too.

Drum rhythms help you write songs and practice
Casio's CTK-4000 61-key portable keyboard offers 180 rhythms, plus auto-accompaniments for Latin music and other world styles. Of the 180 rhythms, 74 are world-styled, and 20 patterns are specifically suited to traditional piano play. You can experiment with Bossa Nova, Samba, Cumbia, Reggae, Calypso, and more! Music preset keys help you switch between sounds fast and also set up the keyboard's tone, rhythm, and tempo so it's ideal for playing each song.

Built-in lessons and play-along songs
The Casio CTK-4000 is more than a fun keyboard to play - it's also an excellent learning tool. 152 songs are in the "Song Bank," among which there are 50 exercise phrases. The songs are divided into short, easy-to-master phrases, making it easy for just about anyone to learn to play. After you master a phrase, you'll advance to the next one until you can play the entire song. An on-screen guide shows you the notes you need to play, so the CTK-4000 can also help you learn to read music and then directly apply that knowledge.

New sound sampling feature
Now more fun to play than ever, the Casio CTK-4000 keyboard has a new sampling function built-in. You can take anything you've recorded - up to 10 seconds long - and then connect a portable audio device to the CTK-4000's audio in jack. Load up the sound, and you can press a key and hear it! You can even add effects such as reverb and vibrato to give the sound more dimension. Make even more complex drum kits, or add even more expression to your playing with the CTK-4000.

USB connection, recorder, auto-harmonizer, arpeggiator, and more
Other advanced features on the Casio CTK-4000 include a USB connection, so you can easily connect it up to your computer and control virtual instruments. The CTK-4000 also has a built-in recorder for laying down song ideas - there's a large six track, five song capacity. Plus, there's an auto-harmonizer that adds appropriate harmony notes to your melody automatically, and there's an arpeggiator that makes complex arpeggios easy to play.
